Cheapest PlayStation 5 in August 2023, Trading Challenge.

Hello lovely people and welcome to Guy at the Gig for gaming. This time I have taken upon a challenge where I am going to acquire a new Sony PlayStation 5 console in the least amount of money spent.  For that I shall be using my old Sony PlayStation 4 slim and try to trade it to get the best price possible. Along with the PlayStation 4 slim, I shall also be trading a couple of games and tech which is of no use to us anymore.

Things to keep in mind when you are doing a trade like this :

Number 1 :  Make sure your product is in a decent working condition in order to get the best possible return and preferably you have original packaging and the invoice for the same, even if the warranty has expired.

Number 2 :  Search multiple online platforms to a certain the best possible rate and not go ahead with the first offer that you get without doing a proper market survey.

Number 3 :  Look for local sellers who have been in the trade for many years in order to ascertain  whether they are genuine or not.

 number 4 :  Definitely bargain as much as possible because this will make a lot of difference in the future as in the next year or so the value of your console might drop drastically. Reselling value isn’t that great.

 

 So I searched online for multiple avenues which trade older PlayStation consoles and games to fetch some extra cash. But the deals on the online portals weren’t really intriguing for me,  as our PlayStation 4 Slim is almost 5 years old and has been opened once, for cleaning the fan inside. Coming back to the challenge, after facing disappointment online I resorted to finding a local store which also happens to be a seller of new consoles and games from Sony. They were already running a promotion where a flat discount was also being given which really helped me get the best deal.

So without wasting any time we rushed to the store the very next day and took the PlayStation 4 slim console along with additional controllers and games which can be traded for a new PlayStation 5 console. The staff at the Store was quite diligent while checking all the hardware and even the games, taking their sweet time to check any issues that might be there. Remember “Things to keep in mind point number 1”, this is where it helps to have the machine running properly without any glitches.

In the end we got the brand new PlayStation 5 Console for a staggeringly low price of  INR Thirty Thousand Four Hundred Ninety. This is the best deal we could have got at the moment and I’m sure you’ll agree as well. A brand new console costs 54,990 INR which would have burnt a massive hole in my pocket.

Conclusion : 

Always keep an eye out for flash sales and strike at the right moment, this would help in getting those additional discounts and ease the pain of shelling out too much money.

Make sure to keep your consoles in a good condition, you never know when you might need an upgrade and Sony comes up with another next gen console for us.
